This Privacy Policy describes how Equipment Tester (the “App”), developed and operated by DesignDebug (“we”, “our”, or “us”), handles information when you use the App.

1. Information Collection and Use

1.1 Personal Information

The App does not collect, store, or process any personal or user-identifiable information, including but not limited to:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Location data
  • Device identifiers

The App is designed strictly for internal and proprietary use.

1.2 Bluetooth Communication Data

The App connects to a proprietary Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device to exchange operational data.

  • All BLE communication occurs locally on the user’s device
  • No Bluetooth data is transmitted to external servers
  • No BLE data is used for tracking or user identification

1.3 Log Files

The App temporarily stores operational logs generated during BLE communication.

  • Logs are stored locally on the device
  • Logs are saved in temporary files
  • Logs are not uploaded automatically
  • Logs may be removed automatically by the system or when no longer required

Users may explicitly choose to share these logs as text or files using Android’s built-in sharing functionality.

2. Data Sharing

The App does not share any data automatically with third parties.

Any data sharing occurs only when explicitly initiated by the user through Android’s system share features (for example, email or messaging apps).

3. Third-Party Services

The App does not use:

  • Analytics services
  • Advertising services
  • Tracking SDKs
  • External data processing services

4. Data Security

All data handled by the App remains on the user’s device. Reasonable measures are taken to ensure that data is not transmitted without user action.

However, no method of electronic storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

5. Children’s Privacy

This App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and will take effect immediately.
